Inspiration for Christmas Outings!

 In How Tos and Guides

Here in the UK, December is characterised by families, couples and groups of friends descending on towns and cities to get their fill of fun festive activities. But despite the famous British weather and shorter days, we do everything we can to soak up the Christmas atmosphere. Here is a quick list of wonderful yuletide events taking place this month to help give you Christmas-outing inspiration, whilst still appealing to the live event professional in you.

1) The Snowman Live

Blending a stunning live orchestra with a screening of the iconic festive film, The Snowman Live is running for a number of dates in the UK until 30th December 2017. This is a brilliant way to introduce kids to live orchestral music through incorporating a beloved Christmas movie that’s sure to enchant and capture their attention. 2) Christmas at the Eden Project

The Eden Project undergoes a dramatic change in December that’s sure to captivate all ages. Stunning light shows, soundscapes and live music are all on the bill during the Christmas period for The Eden Project’s “Festival of Light and Sound”. Think fascinating light displays making use of the lush horticultural canopies as their backdrop and surround sound music filtering through gorgeous greenery. 3) Christmas Markets

Arguably the UK’s favourite continental import at this time of year (maybe apart from the gluhwein) – the much-loved Christmas Market! City centres are decorated to the nines in European festive style and feature plenty of festive food and drink stalls, ice rinks, hand-crafted gifts and much more. Many markets are now joined by fairs and live entertainment stages too. Check out your nearest town of city’s offering and head out for a relaxed day of festive fun.

4) Disney on Ice

Is there a better way to bring Christmas cheer to little ones or fully-grown Disney lovers alike than a trip to Disney on Ice? Probably not! With spectacle, magical special effects and sing-along live music, the show is sure to leave you wide-eyed and with that warm and fuzzy festive feeling. Check out tour dates at https://www.disneyonice.com/gb/en-gb/shows. Not a Disney fan? Consider your night out a master class in live production.
