Our client is a blue-chip aerospace and aviation product innovator and manufacturer with a global operation, who service leading aircraft and aerospace engineering brands. The client was building sections of a recently-developed engine that was to be installed on a fleet of aircraft that routinely make international long and short haul flights, and therefore required equipment in which they could invest their utmost faith and confidence in performance, anti-contamination and safety.

We were approached to develop, build and install a next-generation, space-saving and efficiency-enhancing accumulation and material presentation system. Our project direction was established, and our initial ideas formulated, following a fact-finding visit to our client’s engineering site and subsequent analysis of how a flight case accumulation system could save our client space, time and ultimately – money.
We helped our client to overcome these challenges with a bespoke aerospace accumulation case system with the promise to provide maximum protection and zero contamination. Precision engineered to incredibly tight tolerances, the system ensures that valuable components and materials – lifed or non-lifed – remain secure and protected against external hazards.
Maximising warehouse, production line and transit space for our client was paramount. Our accumulation system with built-in tool control and racking reduced required space by up to 25%. It can also be used to move valuable components with ease and peace of mind of quality control.
We also considered production efficiency, and designed a solution in order of material handling, enabling our client to organise parts – some with a value of £1m+ – in order of production. This bespoke concept ensures high-value parts are accessible during the project to reduce handling and downtime and prevent expensive stock-loss that could reach potentially millions.
