Sam Austin, Managing Director, Pro Flightcase: “The most important aspect of any bespoke project is adhering to what our client needs to enhance their operation – this couldn’t be truer for Dunlop Motorsport. The complex requirements of this project have really pushed the limits and we’ve worked hard to ensure a solution that stands up to demanding conditions and gives the Dunlop team the support they need to take home a trophy”.
Pro Flightcase recently strengthened its international hand in Motorsport with a unique project for global racing titan, Dunlop Motorsport. Pro Flightcase, whose current Motorsport client catalogue includes Pirelli, McLaren Mercedes, Williams F1 and Aston Martin, has designed and manufactured a wide collection of portable, protective hospitality cases and workstations that’ll join the Dunlop Motorsport team at the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in Mexico in September 2017.
The WEC, dubbed by drivers and racing fans as “6 Hours of Mexico” is a fast and furious marathon event held over 2 days, promising excitement and entertainment for thousands of fans from across the world. Pro Flightcase’s part in this was to deliver creative, protective and portable storage solutions that’ll be integral to the running of Dunlop Motorsport’s crew under super-testing conditions.
Working on a tight deadline of just 1 month, we got to work transforming Dunlop Motorsport’s ideas into reality. The end result is an extensive range of hospitality cases kitted out with everything from refrigerators to storage units, and reinforced workstations for portable race control.
The Dunlop Motorsport team in testing, track support, race design and development will all be using the cases during their WEC challenge and for future use all across the world. Featuring extra-durable materials, gold-standard Penn Elcom fittings and personalised branded engravings, the innovative project really is geared up for any high-octane conditions.
